Job description

Head of Platforms & Infrastructure (£120k + benefits)

Great opportunity for an experienced tech leader to join a UK software company that’s building out their platform engineering capability.

This is a strategic leadership role, you’d report directly to the CTO and would lead a team of 12 platform engineers responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the infrastructure and common platforms used by a wider department of around 160 technologists.

The platform team is currently on a journey from many smaller disparate teams, towards one larger team with shared responsibility for the entire business, so you’ll be responsible for driving a culture of teamworking and accountability through open communication and strong relationship-building.

You’ll also be responsible for defining the vision, goals, and roadmap for the team, enabling them to leverage AWS technologies, streamline application development, and enhance the overall efficiency and agility of their IT infrastructure.

Your priorities will include:

  • Merging multiple AWS accounts into one
  • Final data centre migration onto AWS
  • Define and roll out standards across DevOps capabilities

In return they’re offering a salary of up to £120k plus company benefits including bonus, pension, and remote first working from anywhere in the UK.
