The Role: Head of Platforms and Connectivity
Youll lead one of the most critical infrastructure functions within the universitydriving the strategy, delivery, and optimisation of network and platform services across a hybrid IT estate.
Your remit includes:

• Overseeing wired and wireless network services, hybrid cloud infrastructure, datacentre resilience, and SMART campus integration.
• Managing multidisciplinary teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing services.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholdersincluding enterprise architects and suppliersto ensure technical alignment with institutional goals.

Youll play a pivotal role in embedding a modern product operating model, driving intelligent monitoring and automation, and advancing digital learning and research capabilities.
What Were Looking For

• Senior-level leadership in enterprise IT infrastructure across complex, multi-site environments.
• Deep experience in cloud platforms, network architecture (LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VPNs), virtualisation, and IoT-based campus technologies.
• A strong communicator who can bridge technical depth with strategic vision.
• Experience in the higher education or public sector is advantageous but not essential.
