Job summary

easyJet Airline Company PLC is seeking a Platform Chapter Lead - Engineering to own the strategy, delivery and operation of the internal developer platform. You will lead 4-5 Platform, DevOps and Developer Enablement teams through their managers and drive capacity planning, hiring and talent development.

You will define the roadmap, set technical direction with Enterprise Architecture and manage budget and headcount, including a strong focus on developer experience and platform reliability.

Qualifications

• You lead platform engineering teams and own strategy.
• Experience turning platform strategy into delivered outcomes.
• Budget and headcount ownership with commercial judgement.
• Strong cloud-native and DevOps background with coding depth.
• Excellent communication and executive influence.
• Experience with internal developer platforms or developer tooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead 4-5 Platform, DevOps and Developer Enablement teams through managers.
• Define and drive the roadmap for the Internal Developer Platform and tooling.
• Own end-to-end delivery quality, predictability and pace; surface risks early.
• Manage operating budget and headcount; implement cost-effective tooling.
• Improve developer experience and developer adoption of the platform.
• Ensure platform reliability, security and compliance, including PCI-DSS & GDPR.
• Align platform strategy with business goals up to executive level.
