The Opportunity

Radar Healthcare is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Platform to lead our Platform Engineering and DevOps function, including Operational Support, as we transition to a cloud-native operating environment. This pivotal role drives the evolution of our global SaaS infrastructure to deliver a secure, robust, scalable, and flexible platform for customers and users.

What you’ll be doing to make a difference

Platform Leadership

  • Lead and manage a team of technical leaders and engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Own a strategic roadmap for the platform team that connects activities to strategic goals agreed with the CTO.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure adherence to the highest platform security standards.
  • Cloud cost optimisation and management in Azure and complementary SaaS systems.
  • Design and implement next-gen logging practices.

Cloud Native Transformation

  • Support and guide the team on their cloud journey, advancing their skills and practices in Azure—embracing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and ephemeral environments.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance DevOps maturity, promoting high levels of automation and continuous improvement.

DevEx and DevSecOps Leadership

  • Collaborate with the Engineering team to align platform capabilities with their transition to a higher-frequency release cycle.
  • Champion DevSecOps principles to ensure security is embedded at every stage of development and release.
Your journey so far
  • Extensive experience in Platform Engineering or DevOps leadership, including operational support for global environments.
  • Proven expertise in cloud-native architectures, with a strong focus on Azure.
  • Familiarity with AWS and experience managing multi-cloud environments and migrations.
  • Deep understanding of IaC, Configuration Management and CI/CD best practices.
