Are you an experienced Planning professional looking for an exciting leadership opportunity? Our client, a leading private consultancy based in Cheltenham, is seeking a dynamic individual to join their team as the Head of Planning.


Position Overview: As the Head of Planning, you will play a key role in shaping the planning strategy for their clients. You will lead a team of talented planning professionals, providing guidance and expertise to ensure the successful delivery of projects. This role involves working closely with clients, local authorities, and internal teams to develop and implement effective planning strategies.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement strategic planning initiatives to meet client objectives.
  2. Lead and mentor a team of planning professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  3. Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide expert advice.
  4. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure the consultancy remains at the forefront of planning excellence.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate planning considerations into overall project plans.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Full membership of the RTPI.
  2. Proven experience in a senior planning role, preferably within a consultancy environment.
  3. Strong leadership and team management skills.
  4. In-depth knowledge of planning regulations, policies, and procedures.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
