Role Overview

The Philanthropy and Partnerships team at Brain Tumour Research comprises the Head of Philanthropy and Partners, a Corporate Partnerships Manager, a Trusts and Grants Manager, a New Business Executive, and a Volunteer and Member Charity Coordinator. We collaborate with the Director of Income Generation and Development to support major donors, corporate partners, volunteers, and member charities, raising over £1m annually to fund brain tumour research.

Current Context

There is an interim Head of P&P covering the role until a permanent appointment is made.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and lead a team to meet income targets.
  2. Create and execute strategies for all income streams.
  3. Support team in planning and budgeting to monitor progress.
  4. Expand partnerships, corporate relationships, volunteer and charity programs, and grant success.
  5. Build relationships with high-net-worth individuals for major donations.
  6. Lead grant applications and management with the Trusts & Foundations Manager.
  7. Identify new corporate engagement opportunities.
  8. Grow volunteer networks and leverage their support.
  9. Implement processes to support income targets.
  10. Provide regular performance reports.
  11. Ensure team skills and resources are aligned with goals.
  12. Collaborate with the Head of Community Fundraising to optimize donor pipelines.
General Duties
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, legislation, and fundraising standards.
  • Maintain accurate supporter data in the organization’s database.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Director of Income Generation and Development.
