The Customer Growth and Retention Marketing Team plays a crucial role in developing strategies to accelerate revenue from Prospects, Investors, and Members by attracting new prospects and retaining customers to become their Pension and Investment Platform of choice.

About your role

As the Head of Performance Marketing, you will be responsible for transforming how Fidelity generates prospect demand from Search, Programmatic, Affiliates, Social, and other paid media channels. You will establish an integrated strategy, plan, and own the management and deployment with Media/Mar-Tech partners.

Collaborating closely with broader Marketing Teams, you will ensure your team’s plans integrate seamlessly into campaign periods and ATL advertising. You will craft prospect-centric onsite journeys and optimization strategies to convert site traffic into application starts for our Personal Investing products and services.

Key responsibilities:

Integrated Always-on Paid Media Strategy and Planning:

  • Strategy and planning: Transform how Fidelity generates prospect demand across channels, establish an annual planning process, and focus on attracting target segments to grow application start rates.
  • Define targets & roles: Develop channel plans focused on efficiency, ROI, and prospect quality, collaborating with media agencies on investment strategies.
  • Channel plans: Oversee development and refinement of channel plans, covering both always-on and campaign periods, aligned with conversion funnels and innovation goals.
  • Journey plans: Develop onsite journey plans to optimize traffic and conversions, including site testing and automation using a CDP where available.
  • Documentation: Ensure all plans are well documented and summarized for stakeholders and leadership.

Media and Mar-Tech Strategy:

  • Technology and Partner Needs: Define requirements for marketing technology and media partners, including planning, tracking, and analysis.
  • Infrastructure Development: Build strong relationships with agencies and vendors, develop business cases for new tech, secure approvals, and manage launches.

Collaboration:

  • Foster ongoing collaboration from planning to post-campaign evaluation, ensuring alignment and prioritization.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders for integrated planning.

Performance Analysis:

  • Lead tracking and reporting strategies to monitor progress, identify gaps, and adjust strategies swiftly.
  • Lead monthly performance reviews and stakeholder reports, aiming to establish econometrics and quarterly reforecasts in 2026.

Team Management:

Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of 10 across different locations. Build accountability, drive continuous improvement, and establish solid operational foundations.

  • Results Focus: Proven success in achieving objectives, analyzing data, and maintaining team motivation for high-quality outcomes.
  • Agency Management: Skilled in managing third-party partners, fostering a “one-team” culture, and maximizing value from relationships.
  • Communication Skills: Impactful communicator capable of engaging all levels of stakeholders, handling complex information, and resolving conflicts.
  • Stakeholder Relationships and Collaboration: Proactive in building trust-based relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
