Job description

We’re seeking an exceptional and forward-thinking Head of Performance & Insights to lead Peabody’s strategic performance management and reporting function. This is a pivotal role responsible for embedding Peabody’s redesigned Performance Management Framework and driving a culture where data‑led insight informs decision‑making at every level of the organisation.

Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will act as a trusted strategic partner — shaping how performance is measured, interpreted, and communicated across the Group. You will oversee the delivery of high‑quality, timely and insightful performance reporting for our Executive Team, Group Board, and key governance forums, ensuring we continue to meet regulatory requirements and remain at the forefront of sector practice.

This is an exciting opportunity to influence organisational performance at scale and play a central role in strengthening transparency, insight, and accountability across one of London’s largest housing associations.

What You’ll Lead
  • Deployment of Peabody’s Group Strategic Performance Framework, ensuring organisational‑wide alignment and engagement.
  • Delivery of accurate, insightful and timely performance reports for senior leaders, governance forums and regulatory bodies.
  • Development of meaningful KPIs that drive strategic and operational performance.
  • Implementation of digital and automated performance reporting tools, reducing manual effort and enhancing insight accessibility.
  • Introduction of benchmarking methodologies to compare Peabody’s performance with sector peers.
  • Data‑led deep dives to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Leadership of a high‑performing team responsible for group‑level reporting, analytics and performance insight.
  • Promotion of a strong performance culture across all levels of the organisation.
What You’ll Need
  • Significant experience in senior‑level performance management, reporting or business intelligence in a large or complex organisation, ideally within housing or a regulated sector.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insight.
  • Proven experience embedding performance management frameworks and building performance cultures.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience influencing Executive and Board‑level stakeholders.
  • Expertise in digital reporting and analytical tools, including Power BI and Excel.
  • A track record of leading and developing high‑performing teams.
  • A proactive approach to innovation, automation and continuous improvement in reporting and analytics.
