Job summary

Northern Lights Learning Trust in the North of England seeks a newly created senior post to lead the people service across the Trust. You will advise school leaders on workforce planning, employee relations, organisational development, wellbeing and compliance, and shape the Trust’s People Strategy with the Executive Director of Trust Services.

This role requires CIPD Level 7 or equivalent or substantial senior HR experience.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 7 or equivalent, or significant experience at senior HR professional level.
• Experience advising leaders on workforce planning, ER, organisational development and wellbeing.
• Experience managing complex employee relations cases and working with trade unions.

• Lead the people service across the Trust.
• Act as trusted adviser to leaders on workforce planning, employee relations, organisational development, wellbeing and compliance.
• Develop and implement the Trust's People Strategy with the Executive Director of Trust Services.

Job description

Newly created senior post leading the people service across Northern Lights Learning Trust, an academy trust. The role advises leaders on workforce planning, employee relations, organisational development, wellbeing and compliance. It also shapes the Trust's People Strategy with the Executive Director of Trust Services. CIPD Level 7 or equivalent is preferred, but significant senior HR experience can stand in for it, and visa sponsorship is not available.

What the job involves

• Lead the people service across the Trust

What’s required

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 7 or equivalent, or significant experience at senior HR professional level

Experience

• Proven experience in a senior people advisory or business partnering role
• Experience of leading and line-managing or coaching people colleagues
• Experience managing complex employee relations cases through to successful resolution
• Experience of working with trade unions
