Michael Page is actively working with a long-standing client who is searching for a new Head of Payroll to join their team on the outskirts of York on a permanent basis. The client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of Payroll who can make a strategic impact and lead a high-performing payroll team.

Description

  • Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and tax requirements.
  • Manage payroll reporting and provide insights to the Accounting & Finance department.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payroll-related queries efficiently.
  • Implement and optimise payroll systems and processes.
  • Lead system implementation projects.
  • Support audits and maintain accurate payroll records.
  • Lead and develop the payroll team to meet departmental goals.

Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in Payroll Management or as Head of Payroll.
  • Strong understanding of UK & Irish payroll legislation and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and accounting tools.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in team leadership and stakeholder management.
