Job description

This is a key strategic leadership role within the Head of Payments Leadership Team, responsible for leading the onboarding experience from application through underwriting. This role focuses on ensuring a smooth and positive experience for new customers, including developing and implementing onboarding strategies aligned with company goals and customer needs, managing a team, and driving KPIs related to onboarding success. The role also involves fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment, continuously evaluating and improving the onboarding process, and advocating for the customer's needs throughout their journey. Establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally is essential.

Purpose of the role

Manage the scoping and implementation of products and services for new and existing clients globally, helping clients leverage our capabilities and generating revenue for the business.

Accountabilities

  • Deliver client product and channel implementation projects from start to completion, ensuring smooth handover to business-as-usual.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement suitable products/services.
  • Define, agree, and execute project management plans to meet client and internal needs.
  • Coordinate implementation activities, communicate regularly with stakeholders, and monitor progress.
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks/issues affecting project delivery.
  • Provide expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle, acting as a conduit for resolving complex queries.
  • Develop procedures and controls to mitigate risks and improve operational efficiency.
  • Report on performance, trends, and findings to senior leaders.
  • Identify industry trends to support best practices and inform product development.
  • Participate in projects to improve client service and implementation efficiency.

Director Expectations

  • Manage a business function, contributing to strategic initiatives, policies, and procedures.
  • Lead a large team or manage organization-wide projects, acting as a technical expert and thought leader.
  • Advise senior management and influence decisions on strategic initiatives.
  • Manage resourcing, budgeting, and policy creation for a significant sub-function.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and regulations, monitoring external environment and regulators.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive industry and functional knowledge, and use advanced analytical skills to solve complex problems.
  • Make significant decisions within own area, negotiate with stakeholders, and act as a key contact for clients and divisions.
