Built Different is an innovative and rapidly growing e-commerce apparel brand specifically designed for plus-size men.

Having achieved significant growth and established a loyal customer base across markets including the USA, UK, and Europe, Built Different is now looking to hire an exceptional Head of Marketing to drive further expansion and brand presence through strategic paid media and creative excellence.

About the role

As our Head of Marketing, you will lead the strategic planning and execution of all paid media activities, content creation, creative output, and email marketing strategies, focusing on driving substantial growth across multiple markets and exploring opportunities in new territories.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Paid Media Excellence: Lead and manage high-performance paid media campaigns, particularly on Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram), Google Ads, and other emerging digital channels.
  • Creative Strategy and Content Planning: Develop and oversee our paid media creative strategy. Plan content schedules, brief and guide editors and graphic designers, ensuring consistent, high-quality output aligned with brand goals and campaign targets.
  • Video Production Management: Plan, organise, and attend video shoots, ensuring content is optimised for paid advertising effectiveness.
  • Performance Analysis and Optimisation: Regularly review performance analytics to optimise campaigns, maximise ROI, and achieve aggressive growth targets across existing markets and identify opportunities in new regions.
  • Budget Management: Efficiently manage and optimise the overall marketing budget, ensuring spend aligns with strategic growth targets and delivers strong commercial outcomes.
  • Email Marketing: Oversee basic email marketing strategies, ensuring campaigns drive customer engagement, retention, and contribute positively to overall marketing goals.
  • Market Expansion: Manage marketing strategies across multiple markets, including USA, UK, and Europe, and proactively explore growth opportunities in new global territories.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Managing Director, Founder, and other teams to ensure marketing strategies integrate smoothly with broader business goals.

About you

We’re seeking an ambitious marketing leader with deep expertise in paid media, creative strategy, content management, and basic email marketing knowledge. You'll thrive in a dynamic environment and have a proven track record of scaling consumer brands across multiple markets through strategic and creative paid media campaigns.

Key skills and experience:

  • Strong expertise in paid media, especially Meta ads (Facebook and Instagram), Google Ads, and additional performance channels.
  • Demonstrable experience developing and executing high-impact creative strategies, managing creative production processes, and delivering consistent, high-quality output.
  • Skilled in planning and attending video production shoots, guiding content creation specifically tailored for paid advertising.
  • Proven ability to analyse, interpret, and optimise performance data to continuously enhance campaign effectiveness and achieve growth targets.
  • Excellent budget management skills with a strategic approach to maximising marketing spend efficiency.
  • Basic knowledge of email marketing strategies, execution, and performance evaluation.
  • Experience managing marketing strategies across multiple international markets and exploring new geographical growth opportunities.
  • Comfortable collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and external creatives, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on execution.
