Job summary

AG Barr Group is seeking a Head of Packaging Development for a 6-month FTC, based in Cumbernauld with hybrid flexibility. You will lead the packaging team across soft drinks and alcohol, delivering innovative, sustainable and compliant packaging solutions from concept to market launch.

The role requires deep knowledge of packaging materials, regulatory compliance, and scale-up from prototype to commercial packaging, with a focus on cost efficiency and brand integrity.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent in a scientific discipline, packaging technology or engineering.
• Experience leading packaging teams across soft drinks and alcohol categories.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials, regulations and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the packaging development strategy across innovation, value optimisation and supply chain programmes.
• Drive sustainability initiatives and lifecycle thinking in packaging.
• Ensure packaging is compliant with food safety legislation and brand protection.
• Coach and develop a high-performing team and manage packaging budget.
