Job Description

Responsible for overall performance and service delivery of all Operations activities in the London branch. Senior Management Function holder (SMF 24) under the Senior Management and Certification Regime of the UK regulator, with assigned responsibilities as detailed below.

Key result Areas

• Manage & direct the functioning of operations by providing the foundation & organizational structure to support business development, facilitate a strong control environment, maximize efficiency and cost control through bench-marked service delivery & operational standards, within the framework of corporate policies and procedures and local regulations.
• Institute operations risk management guidelines through appropriate technology and process engineering.
• Recommend and implement operations plan and develop goals for all officers in line with overall business plan.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings, service quality and process improvement.
• Ensure personal and team compliance will all applicable UK regulations, Risk Management programs, Internal Control and Audit requirements.
• Ensure personal and team compliance with all applicable UK regulations, including, among others, those relating to Operational Resilience and Outsourcing
• Overall responsible for establishing & regularly testing systems / disaster recovery processes as it relates to the MBUK operations as a whole in co-operation with the BCP Committee

Knowledge, skills and experience

• Highly developed broad-ranging skill set as appropriate for a senior role
• Strong working knowledge and experience of banking operations and the local regulatory environment.
