An incredibly rare opportunity has arisen to run the operations of a hugely exciting new energy venture. This role is purposed to deliver class leading low cost to serve AND high customer satisfaction. You will be the senior operations leader who shapes the operating model, build and run phases of this new energy venture.

Key accountabilities:

1. Lead the identification, build-out and run of a class leading energy operating model.
2. Initially, focus on the build and set-up phase, scoping and establishing structures, processes, and systems for success.
3. Own the Opex for customer care, energy back office, and industry flow integration, including:

• Customer onboarding and retention
• Complaints handling and resolution
• Debt management
• Metering
• Industry reporting

Bring experience of senior leadership in the operations of a market-leading retail energy organisation.

Grow and develop a team of operational experts focused on low-cost operations and customer excellence.

Continuously seek opportunities for improvement as the operation scales.

Interface with energy operations professionals across Centrica.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, exceeding FCA and Ofgem standards.

What we're looking for:

• An energy operations expert with hands-on experience in running a market-leading energy operation.
• In-depth knowledge of energy industry regulations, supply license conditions, OFGEM guidance, and industry reporting standards.
• A challenger mindset, with the ability to innovate and challenge norms to achieve operational excellence.
• Growth mindset and stakeholder collaboration skills to ensure excellent customer experience.
• Experience managing significant operations budgets.
• Proven leadership of teams of 10+ direct reports.
