Job summary

Last Mile is recruiting a Head of Operations in the United Kingdom to assume full accountability for a diverse operational workforce delivering gas, water and electricity utility works across construction projects in the region.

You will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring safe, efficient delivery within budget and to customer expectations, with focus on performance improvement and governance across the business.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience overseeing large, dispersed teams.
• Strong operational management within utilities or infrastructure sectors.
• Experience managing budgets and stakeholder relations in regulated environments.
• Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and safety excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior leadership for operations delivering gas, water and electricity works across the region.
• Ensure all activity is delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme and budget.
• Align delivery with business objectives and continuous improvement priorities.
• Plan workforce capacity and allocate resources to meet project demand.
• Drive performance through KPIs, reporting and issue resolution.
• Lead and develop supervisors, engineers, and subcontract teams while ensuring compliance.
