The Role

Head of Operations - Maintenance Glasgow

Join our leadership team at British Airways as Head of Operations at British Airways Maintenance Glasgow (BAMG). This is a key role, responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of our engineering maintenance operation in Glasgow, ensuring exceptional service delivery, safety, compliance, and performance.

What You’ll Do

Lead the BAMG Part 145 operation as the accountable post holder, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality maintenance services.
Drive consistent, high-quality service delivery that meets all customer and regulatory requirements.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, ensuring BAMG remains competitive and efficient, delivering year-on-year cost reductions.
Build and maintain a constructive employee relations climate that supports change and enhances our ways of working.
Develop strong partnerships with key stakeholders including suppliers, corporate safety, CAMO, and regulatory authorities.
Maximise third-party commercial opportunities and support the wider Maintenance Leadership Team in delivering strategic business goals.
Ensure processes meet statutory airworthiness standards and benchmark positively against industry standards.

Your Experience

Proven experience leading a large engineering maintenance organisation or department in a complex industrial setting.
Strong understanding of airworthiness compliance, engineering processes, and health & safety legislation.
Strong commercial acumen, supplier management skills, and experience in business change delivery.
An appropriate technical qualification such as Aircraft Maintenance Licence, Engineering degree or equivalent, and familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies.
