Job summary

Bidcorp in Liverpool is seeking a Head of Operations to lead a large-scale distribution operation, drive service excellence and financial performance across the depot. You will develop the management team, shape culture and partner with commercial functions to maximise customer satisfaction and profitability.

As a senior leader, you’ll champion continuous improvement, safety and compliance while delivering results through people development and strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience within logistics, distribution, transport, warehousing or a related operational environment.
• Experience leading large operational teams through managers.
• Strong commercial awareness with responsibility for budgets and financial performance.
• Track record of improving operational efficiency and service performance.
• Excellent people leadership, coaching and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety and compliance obligations.
• Ability to build relationships across multiple functions and stakeholders.
• A passion for delivering exceptional service to customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the depot management team to drive operational efficiency, service excellence and productivity.
• Deliver depot financial objectives, ensuring profit targets are achieved or exceeded.
• Oversee all operational activities to ensure service, quality and performance KPIs are consistently met.
• Work closely with Sales teams to support customer retention, account development and commercial growth opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with central support functions to improve operational effectiveness and internal service delivery.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement across all operational areas.
• Ensure effective planning and utilisation of fleet, people and resources to maximise efficiency.
• Lead operational change initiatives while maintaining service and performance standards.
