Job summary

Round-Peg Solutions (RPS) Limited seeks a Head of Operations to lead operational improvement within an international precision manufacturing group. The role covers production, engineering, quality and supply chain in a high-mix, low-volume CNC environment with 2 weeks of travel per month, primarily at a key European site.

The position requires substantial time at European operations, with initial UK-based placement and potential relocation to Summerset facility as the role progresses toward

Qualifications

• Strong leadership experience in precision manufacturing or aerospace manufacturing
• Track record of improving productivity, efficiency and profitability
• Ability to balance shop-floor insight with financial metrics and analytics

Responsibilities

• Lead operational performance across a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
• Improve productivity, efficiency and gross-margin delivery.
• Strengthen value stream management across manufacturing and supporting functions.
• Review machining capacity, equipment utilisation and make-versus-buy decisions.
• Improve costing, operational reporting and accountability.
• Reduce rework and strengthen engineering-to-production handovers.
• Develop the leadership team and deliver sustainable change.
• Work with international colleagues to improve business performance.
