As we enter an exciting new phase of transformation, we are reviewing and revitalising our core operations to drive even greater success. To support this journey, we’re seeking a visionary Operations Director to partner closely with our CEO.

Together, you’ll lead the next chapter of growth, operational excellence, and strategic expansion.

The Mission: Stabilise, professionalise, and support the scale-up of a fast-moving direct-to-consumer manufacturing business (£10M–£25M turnover), currently experiencing rapid growth and operational volatility.

The Operations Director will own all day-to-day operations, drive margin improvement, and install a culture of output, quality, and accountability.

The Mandate:

• Lead assembly, machine shop, yard, logistics, and QA
• Eliminate reactive culture; enforce system-led execution
• Oversee team of 50–100 with multiple functional leads
• Deliver immediate improvements in throughput, reject rates, and dispatch flow
• Use tools like DEAR Inventory, Mondays.com, and HubSpot (training provided)

The "Must Haves"..

• 5+ years Senior Operations experience in manufacturing or supply-chain-intensive business
• Managed £10M+ turnover with full P&L ownership
• Hands-on experience in factory/shopfloor leadership, not just boardroom strategy
• Proven success in scaling operations while maintaining quality
• Background in Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement environments
• Familiar with high-SKU, high-volume, short lead-time product lines
• Ruthless with accountability and standards
• Data-driven — fluent in metrics, dashboards, and KPIs
• Natural team builder who can replace underperformers fast
• Clear communicator — can lead both blue- and white-collar staff
• Customer-focused — understands operations must serve CS & margin
• Unshakable under pressure — calm in chaos
