The Role

Based at our primary dispatch centre in Scunthorpe, the Head of Operations will lead all aspects of inbound and outbound materials and finished products, ensuring customer requirements are met safely, efficiently, and on time. They will act as the key link between Warehousing, Dispatch, and Operations to achieve 100% on-time, in-full deliveries while maintaining cost efficiency and production schedules.

Key Accountabilities

1. Manage warehousing (dry and cold stores) and dispatch operations to meet business and customer needs.
2. Use data insights to prioritize materials and optimize production and packing schedules.
3. Develop and maintain effective stock management processes to meet company targets.
4. Ensure efficient and timely product distribution through robust planning and team coordination.
5. Promote continuous improvement across warehousing and dispatch functions.
6. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve site objectives.
7. Maintain financial rigor and ensure value-for-money operations.

Skills And Experience Required

1. 5+ years in Warehouse and Dispatch Management, preferably in FMCG or complex distribution sites.
2. Proven leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
3. Strong track record of achieving objectives and managing priorities.
4. Experience with SAP and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
5. Commercial acumen and commitment to role-model leadership.
