About Y1 Sport
Y1 Sport is a fast-growing, ambitious sports brand redefining performance and style on and off the field. We’re passionate about pushing boundaries, innovating our product lines, and building a loyal community of athletes and enthusiasts. Our business is formed of four key businesses: Y1 Hockey, Y1 Custom, Y1 Teamwear and Y1 Padel. To help us scale our operations while staying true to our values, we’re looking for an experienced, driven, and solutions-focused Head of Operations to join our London-based team.
Role Overview
As Head of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of Y1 Sport’s top and bottom line through strategic planning, operational excellence, and effective leadership. Reporting directly to the directors, you will lead and coordinate all day-to-day operations across our four key business areas, ensuring that the business runs smoothly, efficiently, and in line with our ambitious growth targets.
You’ll combine big-picture thinking with hands-on execution, managing financial performance, logistics, website operations, and office management, while inspiring and developing your team of three operations employees.

Inventory & Logistics
- Manage inventory and logistics operations, including coordination with 3PL partners, to ensure seamless stock flow across all areas of the business.
- Forecasting optimal stock requirements throughout the year for each area of business, for each sales channel, ensuring there is enough stock during peak times of year without burdening cash flow.
Website Management
- Oversee the daily running of our Wordpress/WooCommerce website.
- Monitor and continually improve site performance, conversion rates, and customer experience.
Amazon Management

- Working knowledge of Wordpress/WooCommerce site management and optimisation.
- Experience managing Amazon FBA operations and coordinating with external agencies.
- A confident, supportive leader who can inspire a small team and bring out their best.
- Willingness and ability to travel nationally and internationally to meet partners, suppliers, and attend key events.
What You’ll Get
- Competitive base salary of £35k–£45k, plus performance-based bonus.
- Share options to grow with the business.
- £500 annual budget to spend on Y1 products, plus 50% staff discount.
- The chance to shape the operational future of a fast-growing sports brand with a passionate, close-knit team.
