Job summary

MCS Group is recruiting a Head of Operations for a well-established manufacturing business in Northern Ireland. The role oversees production, planning, procurement, stores, logistics, CNC operations, and continuous improvement, with hands-on leadership across the site.

The successful candidate will focus on improving productivity, reducing costs, strengthening quality and ensuring excellent customer delivery.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in manufacturing or operations.
• Proven track record in improving productivity, OTIF, and operational performance.
• Strong understanding of production planning, supply chain, and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Leading manufacturing operations and driving improvements in productivity, throughput and efficiency
• Managing production planning, resource allocation and capacity against customer demand
• Improving OTIF delivery and overall operational performance
• Leading continuous improvement initiatives including Lean, OEE, SMED, waste reduction and takt-time improvement
• Developing succession plans and supporting the ongoing development of operational teams

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role with responsibility across production, planning, procurement, stores, logistics, CNC operations, continuous improvement and site installation.

The successful candidate will play a key role in improving productivity, reducing costs, strengthening quality and ensuring excellent customer delivery.
