About Us
Solace Women’s Aid is dedicated to ending the harm caused by gender-based violence. We work with women and children, offering services that are tailored to the unique needs of survivors. Our approach is holistic and empowering, partnering with survivors to help them achieve independent, abuse-free lives.
We are now looking for a Head of Operations to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week. Participation in an on-call rota is required, currently once every 7 weeks.

The Role
As a Head of Operations, you will lead a portfolio of Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) services across London.
Specifically, you will oversee service delivery across your portfolio, ensuring high standards of quality, contractual compliance, and financial management, all aligned with our strategic goals.
Beyond this, you will also contribute to strategic planning and decision-making, attending senior leadership meetings and leading on key projects that promote safeguarding, health and safety, and staff wellbeing.
Additionally, you will:
- Line manage service managers, offering coaching, mentoring, and performance oversight
- Support service user involvement and meaningful volunteer engagement
About You
To be considered as a Head of Operations, you will need:
- Demonstrable experience of managing a range of VAWG services across multiple locations
- Experience managing complex budgets
- Experience developing and maintaining strategic and operational partnerships
- Strong knowledge of legislation, housing, welfare, and policy related to VAWG
- The ability to evidence service impact and outcomes
- Excellent organisational and ICT skills
