Engineering Manager / Head of Offshore Wind: London

Essential to have civil/structural engineering experience in offshore wind, ideally in foundation design, fabrication, transportation, and installation.

Must have a BEng/MEng Engineering degree in either Structural, Civil, or Mechanical engineering.

The Role

As an offshore engineer with managerial and commercial experience, you will lead an office in London for a leading engineering consultancy.

Specialists in T&I foundations and steel design & build for offshore wind turbines, including stress analysis, FE modeling, load modeling, and complete design of large offshore foundations such as jackets, monopiles, and steel towers.

This is a wide-ranging, lead role combining business development, strategy, management, and hands-on offshore engineering. You should have senior-level offshore wind structural engineering experience, including package management, engineering management, and detailed analysis and design for T&I in the offshore wind sector.

Essential Experience
  • Mechanical / Structural / Civil Engineering degree
  • Offshore energy engineering experience
  • Structural/Civil engineering expertise
  • Strong network within the renewable energy sector for business development
  • Excellent communication skills: written, meetings, presentations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Owner's Engineer, Package Management, Engineering Management, or Contract Management experience
  • Experience with offshore wind turbine foundations (Jackets, Monopiles, Floating)
  • Steel structures, e.g., steel towers
  • Geotechnical knowledge
  • Experience with offshore installation, structures, and dynamics of offshore wind turbine foundations
  • Familiarity with certification agencies such as DNV-GL, Lloyds Register, Bureau Veritas
