Brief Description

Who are we looking for?

Are you a passionate and proactive Registered General Nurse with a recognised Occupational Health qualification (Cert/Dip/Degree/Masters)? We're looking for a dynamic professional ready to take on an exciting challenge in a high-risk environment, where your expertise in clinical leadership, occupational hygiene management, and safety governance will truly shine. In this role, you'll play a vital part in driving clinical compliance, risk management, and service improvement, while confidently navigating regulations like the Equality Act, Health and Safety at Work Act, and SEQOHS standards. If you bring a strong track record of delivering Occupational Health services within large organisations and thrive on quality governance, innovation, and change implementation, we want to hear from you!

About the role (External)

What does the average day look like?

In this impactful role, you'll shape the future of occupational health at Network Rail-leading on clinical governance, driving health and wellbeing strategy, and ensuring we meet the highest industry standards. Each day brings variety: from advising senior leaders and influencing national policy, to overseeing health risk management and championing innovation in safety and wellbeing. You'll collaborate across teams and with external partners to deliver meaningful, long-term improvements that protect our people and strengthen the rail industry as a whole.

To be successful in this role we would like you to have (be Essential):

• Registered General Nurse with a recognised OH Specialist nurse qualification (cert/dip/degree/masters).

• Relevant experience in clinical leadership occupational hygiene management or equivalent.

• Expertise in working with high-risk environments, leading safety governance, and clinical compliance, including risk management and legal aspects of occupational health.

• Experience with occupational hygiene and implementing change.

• Developing regulatory and influencing skills base.

• Expertise in data management, information handling, and accurate reporting.

• Excellent understanding of regulations and accreditations such as Equality Act, Health and Safety at Work Act, SEQOHS standards.

• Proven experience in leading and delivering Occupational Health services within a large organisation.

• In-depth understanding and experience of quality governance quality improvement.
