Job summary

The Head of Norfolk Music Service at Norfolk County Council will lead the Norfolk Music Service and the Norfolk & Suffolk Music Hub, driving strategic development and ensuring high-quality provision across schools and communities.

Reporting to the Assistant Director, you will guide partnership activity with local and national organisations, manage business planning, and safeguard financial sustainability to support music education for around 650,000 young people.

Responsibilities

• Provide inspirational and forward-thinking leadership of the Norfolk Music Service and Norfolk & Suffolk Music Hub within the County Council’s strategic objectives.
• Lead as the lead organisation of the DfE-funded Music Hub, enabling local, regional and national partnership working and fundraising.
• Develop strategic business plans and local music development plans to secure financial sustainability for young people’s opportunities.
