Job summary

BNY Mellon seeks a Trading Manager to join the Buy‑Side Trading Solutions Team in London. You will lead multi-asset dealing, align execution with client objectives, and drive risk-managed decisions.

You’ll partner with investment, trade support, quantitative research and engineering to evolve trading practices and deliver value for buy-side clients. You will manage a team, develop requirements, and deliver quarterly client and governance reporting while expanding data-driven benchmarking across

Qualifications

• Deep practical experience with Institutional Trading, TCA, Commission Management and Regulation.
• Experience reporting across asset classes, globally.
• Extensive experience in a reporting or analytical function.
• Expertise with large data sets and strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience across equities, fixed income, FX and derivatives markets.

Responsibilities

• As a senior member of the dealing team, perform dealing activities for a multi-asset book.
• Ensure investment objectives and constraints guide execution strategy.
• Monitor execution quality in real time and manage risk to trade completion.
• Grow and maintain relationships with broker-dealers.
• Review, update, consolidate and distribute activity reports and dashboards.
• Leverage benchmarking data and data sources to broaden insights.
• Meet client stakeholders, present to governance committees, and attend due diligence meetings.
• Manage a team of trading professionals supporting Portfolio Managers, Client Service and Compliance.
• Originate trading solutions rooted in technology and quantitative research.
• Develop detailed business requirements and map to technical specs with PM/Tech teams.
• Produce management reporting and analyses for stakeholders.
