PWS Technical Services (UK) Ltd in Derbyshire is seeking a highly experienced Chief Engineer (Mechanical) to act as the technical authority, leading and approving innovative design packages and directing a team of Design Engineers of varying experience.

You will ensure on-time delivery of right-first-time designs, provide technical input for tendering, and drive value engineering and compliant engineering governance across projects, while maintaining records and communicating progress to senior

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering degree and experience leading a design team.
• Ability to create and approve technical designs to meet customer requirements.
• Strong organisational and communication skills for projects and goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead all mechanical design activities within the engineering department.
• Provide day-to-day accountability for the department and its engineers.
• Support tendering and provide technical input for proposals.
• Ensure work is completed on time and to required standards.
• Promote value engineering and cost reduction across projects.
• Maintain processes and governance for engineering activities.
