Position Overview: We are seeking an inspirational and dynamic leader to join our senior leadership team as Head of Maths starting in September. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the maths department, leading a team of talented teachers, and driving forward our commitment to excellence in mathematics education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for the maths department, ensuring alignment with the school's vision, values, and goals.
• Lead, motivate, and inspire a team of dedicated maths teachers to deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences that engage and challenge students.
• Develop and implement innovative curriculum plans, resources, and assessment strategies to enhance the teaching and learning of mathematics across all key stages.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning within the maths department, using data and evidence to drive improvements and raise standards.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, professional learning, and continuous improvement within the maths department and across the school community.
• Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, and external stakeholders to support students' progress and achievement in mathematics.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in mathematics or a related field.
• Significant experience teaching mathematics at secondary level, with a proven track record of delivering excellent outcomes for students.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower others.
• Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for mathematics education.
