Head of Marketing – Self-Serve / Platform Launch
We’re partnering with a high-growth tech venture that’s gearing up to launch a first-of-its-kind self-serve platform, built to disrupt the advertising sector.
"It’s a first-of-its-kind platform, built by a team of 60+ engineers over several years—combining AI, automation, and smart design to give growing businesses access to powerful marketing tools that were previously out of reach.
They’re now looking for a Head of Marketing to own the go-to-market strategy, shape the brand from the ground up, and drive adoption through a product-led growth (PLG) strategy across SMEs (typically 50–200 employees, £10–15M revenue).
This is a hands-on, high-impact role with visibility across the entire organisation — described internally as a once-in-a-career opportunity.

What You’ll Be Doing
- End-to-End Marketing Leadership – Define and execute the GTM and full-funnel marketing strategy for launch and beyond
- Drive PLG Growth – Deliver campaigns and content that drive product signups, activation, and usage—no reliance on sales to close deals
- Customer Acquisition – Create scalable, cost-effective ways to attract and convert mid-market users through the platform
- Brand Strategy – Define the tone, positioning, and story of a product set to reshape an entire category
- Performance & Lifecycle Marketing – Own CRM, paid, SEO, and product engagement loops
- Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work with Product and Engineering to align on GTM, onboarding, and in-product marketing
- Insight & Iteration – Use data and user feedback to optimise strategies and improve funnel performance
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience launching and scaling self-serve SaaS or platform products
- Proven ability to drive growth in a product-led motion, using marketing to convert, activate, and retain users
- Clear understanding of the SME/mid-market buyer, especially across B2B contexts
- Ability to blend brand building and growth execution—you care about positioning and performance
- Confident operating in a fast-paced, early-stage environment where you’re shaping strategy and rolling up your sleeves
- Collaborative and data-driven—you work well with product and thrive on learning from what the numbers say
This Role Might Not Be Right If:
- You prefer a sales-led environment with SDRs and AEs doing the heavy lifting
- You haven’t worked in a PLG motion or marketed to self-serve users
- You need a highly structured or corporate setup—this is agile and hands-on
