About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Head of Marketing to lead enquiry generation and brand development for one of the UK’s largest not-for-profit care providers. Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director, you will be accountable for delivering marketing strategies that directly drive occupancy growth across our 70+ care homes and specialist services.

This is a hands-on leadership role, combining strategic vision with practical delivery. You will manage a high-performing team of Regional Marketing Managers, a Senior Digital Marketing Manager, and a Senior Graphic Designer, ensuring that every initiative translates into measurable enquiries, admissions, and long-term brand strength.

Responsibilities

  • Local impact: Oversee tailored regional marketing plans, stepping in when needed to keep momentum.
  • Digital growth: Optimise paid search, social campaigns, and website performance to deliver sector-leading cost per enquiry (CPE) and cost per admission (CPA).
  • Data-driven decisions: Use CRM insights to direct spend and activity where they achieve the greatest results.
  • Brand leadership: Act as brand guardian, maintaining a consistent, values-driven identity while ensuring annual brand reviews keep us competitive.
  • Collaboration: Work with Operations, Sales, Finance, and People teams to align marketing with service delivery, pricing models, and employee value proposition.
  • Team leadership: Build, coach, and inspire a motivated team with clear objectives, SOPs, and opportunities for progression.
About you

You will be an experienced senior marketing professional with a proven track record in leading strategies that deliver tangible growth. Ideally, you bring expertise from health and social care, healthcare, or housing, with strong transferable skills.

Qualifications

Essential skills and experience:

  • Significant senior marketing leadership, ideally as a Head of Marketing or Senior Marketing Manager for several years in post.
  • Demonstrated success in enquiry generation to facilitate occupancy growth.
  • Strong understanding of the marketing mix (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) and digital channels (goal completions).
  • Strong evidence of data-driven marketing decisions, optimising CRM systems, ROI delivery, and budget management.
  • Experience managing multi-site teams, with a collaborative and supportive leadership style.
  • Excellent brand management and stakeholder influencing skills.

Desirable:

  • CIM or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Experience with private-pay care markets and/or local authority funding.
  • Familiarity with intranet or digital engagement platforms.
Benefits

We operate a hybrid working policy where you must spend a minimum of 2-3 days in the office or one of our care homes and the remaining time can be worked from home. As a key member of the Marketing and Communications team, you can expect benefits such as:

  • Contributory company pension scheme
  • Life assurance
  • 25 days’ holiday + Bank Holidays
  • Free parking
  • ‘My Rewards’ scheme and Blue Light Card giving you discount on shopping, holidays, cinema, dining, days out and much more
