Job description

The Head of Marketing and Communications will lead and shape the theatre's marketing, communications and audience development strategies to achieve ambitious growth in both our audiences and ticket sales.

A lead marketeer that thrives in the balance between delivering creativity and innovation in successful marketing campaigns with commercially minded revenue generation through box office sales and growing yield as a primary driver – focussing on Price, ‘Product’ (our shows), Place and Promotions at the forefront of their responsibilities.

This is a senior leadership role, responsible for leading a dynamic team, growing and engaging audiences, developing brand profile/reach, and ensuring Watford Palace Theatre’s voice is clear, bold, and distinctive across all platforms and communication channels.

This is an opportunity for a confident, strategic, and creative marketing and communications leader who is excited by the chance to shape the public face of an organisation committed to entertainment, inspiration, representation, innovation, relevance and community connection.

This post is designed for a ‘doer’ – a leader who is a team player and gets involved. Someone who leads the team from the front and takes ‘hands on’ ownership and responsibility for the delivery of marketing and communications campaigns, activities and projects. This practical positive attitude is crucial for the success of the role.
