Blue Legal has partnered with a global law firm to recruit a Head of Marketing & Business Development (M&BD), based in London. The role involves overseeing and driving the firm’s strategic business development initiatives across six key sectors and managing the M&BD team to ensure alignment with the firm’s objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the In-Group M&BD team, setting objectives, conducting appraisals, and supporting all sectors with high-quality, consistent support.
  • Collaborate with sector leaders to develop and implement business development plans aligned with the firm’s overall strategy.
  • Lead the drafting and management of proposals, bids, panels, and marketing materials for client opportunities.
  • Guide budget management for the Groups, ensuring alignment with business development priorities.
  • Enhance processes and promote knowledge sharing between teams to improve efficiency and best practices.
  • Report regularly on business development activities to senior management and sector teams.
  • Lead client engagement activities, including listening initiatives and relationship meetings.
  • Oversee branding and PR campaigns to position the firm and its sectors as thought leaders.
  • Manage the directory submission process, ensuring accurate sector representation.

Candidate Requirements:

  • 10-15 years of experience in marketing and BD, preferably within professional services.
  • Proven leadership, team management, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Strong commercial focus with excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.

Note: Due to sector-specific requirements, only candidates with experience in a Law Firm, Accountancy Firm, Management Consultancy, Property/Construction Firm, Financial Services Firm, or relevant high-profile associations or agencies will be considered.
