Head of Marketing — Rochdale, Lancashire

£60,000 - £70,000 + 20% Bonus & Benefits

My client is one of Europe\'s largest and most successful kitchen manufacturers. Established in Germany 80 years ago, this innovative, high growth brand is recognised worldwide for innovative design and the best engineering. With two expansive head offices, a distribution warehouse in the North West of England and over 100 kitchen showrooms nationwide, they deliver a seamless service from concept to installation and aftercare to house builders, property developers and retail customers nationwide. Over the next five years the business is set to double in size.

Due to an exciting period of growth and a solid plan in place for further expansion, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Head of Marketing to lead their retail, contract and digital marketing strategies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales growth through multi-channel marketing initiatives. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong experience in both traditional retail marketing and digital campaigns, including e-commerce, social media, and paid advertising.

Responsibilities
  • Retail Marketing
    • Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive footfall and in-store sales.
    • Plan and implement local store marketing (LSM) initiatives, promotional events, and seasonal campaigns.
    • Collaborate with store teams to optimize visual merchandising, in-store activations, and customer experience.
    • Manage relationships with external agencies, print media, and mall/retail partners for joint marketing efforts.
    • Track and analyse store performance metrics to optimize marketing efforts.
  • Digital Marketing
    • Develop and manage digital marketing campaigns across SEO, PPC, email, social media, and influencer partnerships.
    • Oversee e-commerce marketing strategies to enhance online sales and conversion rates.
    • Monitor website traffic, engagement metrics, and customer journey analytics.
    • Optimize digital advertising efforts across platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
    • Leverage CRM tools and marketing automation for targeted email marketing campaigns.
  • Brand & Content Strategy
    • Ensure consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all touchpoints.
    • Oversee the creation of compelling content, including blog posts, social media, video, and digital ads.
    • Manage content calendars and campaign timelines to ensure seamless execution.
    • Collaborate with design and content teams to develop engaging marketing materials.
  • Customer Insights & Performance Tracking
    • Use Google Analytics, Meta Insights, and other tracking tools to analyze campaign performance.
    • Gather customer insights through surveys, feedback, and social listening tools.
    • Develop reports on marketing KPIs and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Budget & Team Management
    • Manage the marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
    • Coordinate with external agencies, freelancers, and in-house teams for campaign execution.
    • Lead and mentor the marketing team members where applicable.
Key Skills & Qualifications
  • Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in a retail and e-commerce environment.
  • Strong knowledge of retail marketing strategies and digital marketing channels.
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, SEO, PPC, email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot), and CRM platforms.
  • Experience developing and leading a team; experience in high-growth organisations.
  • Experience managing social media campaigns and paid advertising strategies.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in retail or home enhancement FMCG products.
  • Understanding of influencer marketing and affiliate partnerships.
