Job description

Application Deadline: 28 July 2025

Department: Marketing

Location: London

Compensation: £100,000 - £120,000 / year

Description

We’re looking for a Head of Marketing to lead the strategy and execution of our marketing efforts, while being unafraid to get stuck into the day-to-day. This is a hands-on role, combining leadership, creativity, and operational rigour. You will be responsible for growing GEEIQ’s brand presence, driving awareness, and generating demand in a fast-moving, complex landscape.

This position will work cross-functionally across all departments at GEEIQ, while managing a growing marketing function of two direct reports and several external agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the marketing strategy and execution across brand, demand generation, events, product marketing, and content.
  • Lead and mentor a small but talented Marketing team, adapting your leadership style to different personalities and skill sets.
  • Partner with the Sales team, with direct responsibility for enabling the team to deliver against their revenue targets
  • Remain hands-on, writing copy, building HubSpot workflows and email campaigns, designing decks or landing pages, and maintaining our campaign infrastructure.
  • Manage external agency relationships (e.g., UpDesigners) to scale design and creative output.
  • Develop and execute product marketing strategies that clearly articulate our value proposition and drive feature adoption across our SaaS platform.
  • Oversee event strategy and execution, including private events and collaborations with the UK Department of Business and Trade to maximise exposure at industry events like SXSW.
  • Strengthen and manage press and partner relationships, ensuring GEEIQ remains top of mind in the virtual worlds ecosystem.
  • Understand and apply marketing principles from both B2B SaaS and B2C funnel strategies, especially in the context of gaming and user-generated content (UGC).
  • Ensure operational excellence, managing budgets, measuring impact, and maintaining accurate data and processes in HubSpot.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Proven experience in a senior marketing role within a SaaS business.

  • Advanced knowledge of HubSpot is essential.

  • Strong people leadership and mentorship experience, with the ability to tailor your approach to the needs of the team.

  • Exceptional project management and multi-tasking skills.

  • A “roll-up-your-sleeves” attitude and comfortable doing the work as much as leading the strategy.

  • Experience with event management (proprietary and 3rd party) and working with external stakeholders and agencies.

  • Product Marketing experience is highly desirable

  • Familiarity with the UGC landscape and B2C marketing funnels is a strong plus.

  • Comfortable in a dynamic, in-office environment, where priorities shift and collaboration is key.

Benefits

  • GEEIQ Day - 1 x day of paid leave per year
  • Regular Socials - paid socials
  • Flexible Hours - core business hours 10am to 5pm
  • Focus Fridays - option to WFH every Friday
  • WFH - 2 days per month
  • Remote Working - 5 additional days per year (can be used to WFH or for International Working)
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
