(Psst… best to read our careers section before applying)
Our business has evolved enormously over the last 16 years, from 18 year old Matt at his parents’ home to the multi award-winning, multi-million pound, industry leading company we are today.
We’re proud to be the most in-demand and highest-rated events company in the country… and we plan to keep it that way. That reputation and demand means we’re growing exponentially and forever looking for new amazing people to join us!
You can read more about how we do things here, but if you’re someone who brings the fun, owns your bit and plays for the team, you’ll probably love it here.
About The Role
Head of Marketing – Full Time
We’re looking for an experienced, strategic Head of Marketing to lead a junior in-house team of three and help shape the next phase of brand and commercial growth at Clownfish. You’ll be responsible for uniting the team’s existing strengths under one clear, focused strategy – one that you’ll create (and own) alongside our Sales Director.
At Clownfish, marketing is part of sales – so, this isn’t about fluffy campaigns that look good on Canva. It’s about marketing that works – building a consistent, powerful brand presence that speaks to the right audience, generates quality leads and ‘does the hard work to make the selling easy’. That means you won’t just be judged on reach, impressions or click-through rates – you’ll be responsible for delivering results that move the needle. That’s why you’ll work closely with the sales team to build campaigns that convert and content that sells.
As with any managerial role at Clownfish, we’re looking for someone who knows how to bring out the best in others, lead with clarity and ‘muck in’ when it counts. You’ll take pride in developing your team – giving them the confidence, structure and support they need to grow, while setting high standards and being accountable for your collective results.
We’re an established name in the events industry with a reputation for creative ideas, a professional team and nevber taking ourselves too seriously. From epic corporate parties to exhibition stands and brand activations, our work is varied and fast-paced – so we’re looking for someone who thrives under pressure has experience working to critical deadlines.
You’ll love this role if you’re equal parts strategist and doer. You understand how to balance brand-building with lead generation. You know how to spot the story in a client case study. You get a kick out of improving something by 1%. You’re confident briefing designers, copywriters and video editors. And you’ve got a healthy scepticism for anything that feels like marketing-for-marketing’s-sake.
Clownfish is growing – and this is an opportunity for for the right person to help drive that growth, evolve the brand, and shape the way we show off our scales to the world.
