Head of Manufacturing – Bart Ingredients Closed to new applicants

Bart Ingredients was founded in 1963, and creates an innovative and imaginative range of herbs and spices for consumers with ingredients sourced from all over the globe. With over 600 products distributed widely across the Grocery trade, the company was acquired by German based Fuchs Group in late 2017, which is the largest family owned spices group in the world.

With a turnover exceeding £40m per annum and growing fast, the company has manufacturing sites in both Severn Beach and Newbury with over 200 staff.

The Role

Lead the manufacturing operations at the Severn Beach site and manage the effective and efficient operation of production, blending and engineering to meet customer demand.

Inspire, develop and motivate c.125 staff to build an effective team that is motivated and engaged in their roles.

Encourage and lead continuous improvements of procedures and processes underpinning the manufacturing processes.

Identify and implement new technologies within production, including IT software.

The Candidate

Ideally from a food and drink manufacturing background, with high volume production experience a necessity in a demand driven environment.

Experience of continuous improvement projects which have delivered tangible business benefit.

A natural motivator with a hands on approach on the factory floor, enjoying developing staff in a strong team environment.

Strong analytical ability and thrives in a technology led manufacturing environment.
