Job Title: Head of Major Projects

Location: Oxford Road, Manchester

Salary: £59,139 - £70,579 per annum depending on experience

Job type: Full Time, Permanent - 35 hours per week (1 FTE)

Closing date: 30/06/2025

Overall purpose of the role:

On behalf of the Directorate of Estates and Facilities, provide leadership, programme and project management in relation to construction related project work (construction) allocated to the Projects Group guiding supporting and enabling the provision of project management services, for projects that includes alteration, refurbishment, new build and planned maintenance schemes, including the design, planning, execution and close out according to strict deadlines and within budget, whilst acquiring and managing resources and co-ordinating the efforts of all stakeholders in order to deliver projects within an established framework of "best value" for the University.
