Job description

As a Head of Maintenance at a Barchester care home, you'll make sure the care home has a clean and well-maintained environment so that residents feel at home and staff can do their jobs well. You'll have a hands-on approach to a variety of maintenance tasks, from fixing a leaky tap to maintaining the gardens and grounds. With your trade skills and experience in property maintenance, you'll ensure all work is carried out with sensitivity to the needs of the residents.

As a Head of Maintenance at a Barchester care home, you'll make sure we have a clean and well-maintained environment so that residents feel at home and staff can do their jobs well. Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere is part of our commitment to delivering first-class care and support. You can expect plenty of variety as a Head of Maintenance with us. You'll turn your hand to all sorts of tasks within the care home building as well as in the gardens and grounds. That could mean fixing a leaky tap one minute and planting some new bulbs the next. You should be comfortable working alone, leading a team and supporting the General Manager with annual budget planning. We'll also need you to liaise with contractors on jobs that fall outside the expertise of your team.
