As a Head of Maintenance at a Barchester care home, you'll be responsible for ensuring the care home environment is clean, well-maintained, and welcoming for residents and staff. You'll have hands-on experience in property maintenance and the ability to undertake a wide range of maintenance tasks, from fixing leaky taps to gardening. You'll also lead a team and support the General Manager with annual budget planning.
In this role, you can expect variety as you'll handle tasks within the care home building, gardens, and grounds. You should be comfortable working alone, leading a team, and liaising with contractors for specialized jobs. The wellbeing of residents is your top priority, ensuring all work is carried out with sensitivity to their needs.

About you: The wellbeing of residents is your priority. You should have hands-on property maintenance experience, at least one trade skill, and the ability to perform diverse maintenance tasks. Reliability, flexibility, a full UK driving license, IT literacy, and GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent) are required.
