ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Head of Maintenance at a Barchester care home, you'll ensure a clean and well-maintained environment so that residents feel at home and staff can perform their duties effectively. Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere is part of our commitment to delivering first-class care and support.

You can expect variety in your role. You'll handle tasks within the care home building, gardens, and grounds, such as fixing leaks or planting bulbs. You should be comfortable working independently, leading a team, and supporting the General Manager with annual budget planning. Additionally, you'll liaise with contractors for tasks beyond your team's expertise.

ABOUT YOU

Your priority will be the wellbeing of our residents. You'll ensure all work is carried out with sensitivity to their needs. With hands-on property maintenance experience, you'll have at least one trade skill and the ability to undertake various maintenance tasks. Reliability, flexibility, a full UK driving license, IT literacy, and GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent) are required.
