ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Head of Maintenance at a Barchester care home, you'll ensure a clean and well-maintained environment where residents feel at home and staff can perform their duties effectively. Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere is part of our commitment to delivering first-class care and support.

You can expect a variety of tasks as a Head of Maintenance. You'll handle maintenance within the care home, gardens, and grounds. This could involve fixing a leaky tap or planting bulbs. You should be comfortable working independently, leading a team, and supporting the General Manager with annual budget planning. You will also liaise with contractors for specialized jobs outside your team's expertise.

ABOUT YOU
The wellbeing of our residents will be your top priority. You will ensure all work is carried out with sensitivity to their needs. Hands-on experience in property maintenance is essential, with at least one trade skill and the ability to undertake a range of maintenance tasks. Reliability, flexibility in working hours, a full UK driving licence, IT literacy, and GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent) are required.
