Job summary

Capital Theatres is seeking a Head of Electrics to lead the day-to-day management of electrical, audio/visual and technical requirements across Festival Theatre, King's Theatre and Studio Theatre in Edinburgh. You will be part of the senior management team, reporting to the Technical Director, and ensure high-quality technical support for visiting productions and events.

The role covers theatre lighting, AV, and cross-department collaboration, with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in theatre lighting and AV.
• Proven ability to manage a team and coordinate across departments.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required for performances.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day electrical, AV and technical requirements for visiting productions.
• Be part of the senior management team and maintain equipment and technical standards.
• Lead the Electrics team and collaborate with other departments to ensure safe, high-quality productions.
