Collaborating with our General Counsel, you’ll co-create and execute Legal’s strategic vision, focussing on business and technical practices on how legal services are delivered to AXA UK.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.

We’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assist General Counsel to build a strategy aligned to AXA UK’s overall strategy and corporate imperatives.
  • Develop a strong and sustainable approach to financial management and management information (MI) to ensure control of internal legal budget and external spend.
  • Create clear technology vision that spans the needs of the department. Manage technology initiatives and measure benefits.
  • Evaluate vendor performance.
  • Build a clear understanding of legal team tasks and their value. Invite and analyse feedback to identify areas for development.
  • Design, capture, and measure performance data through key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Own, review, and update knowledge management processes and systems, linking them to training and development.
  • Identify performance improvement initiatives and provide capability to support their coordinated execution.
