The Business:

Our client is a leading global investment research business seeking a contractor to join the team as soon as possible.

The role:

The role will be an integral part of the legal team over the next few months to a year. The key purpose is to lead transformation and change programmes around automation, AI, and technology to enhance efficiency within the legal team. The person in this role will review current processes, advise, and report to the Global GC (based in London) on this project and potentially other legal matters related to team management and escalation of legal and commercial issues. The primary focus will be on the transformation and efficiency project initially.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have significant experience as Senior Legal Counsel or Head of Legal/GC
• Possess knowledge and exposure to legal process improvement, process implementation, and experience with legal tech, AI, and automation to improve legal team processes and service delivery
• Have experience in rolling out and training on new processes, gaining stakeholder buy-in, and applying a measured, commercial approach to process improvement
• Have excellent influencing and negotiation skills to support commercial outcomes
• Be a team player, methodical, and able to meet deadlines
• Be enthusiastic about transforming legal processes and delivering better outcomes and services

Day rate:

Competitive. You can operate outside IR through Ltd Company or as a PAYE contractor via our agency payroll if you do not have a Ltd company.

Working arrangements:

1-2 days per week in the office is ideal. Flexibility is available regarding days; some office attendance is required. Not fully remote but with good flexibility.

Full-time/Part-time:

Ideally 5 days a week, but a 4-day week may be considered for the right candidate.
