Haeata Community Campus has an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Kaiako/Teacher, for the position of Head of Learning Area (HOLA) - Technology. This position attracts 1MU + 1MMA and requires the successful candidate to lead the Y7–13 technology team in our vibrant learning environment.

We are looking for a kaiako who is culturally aware and will enjoy working within a modern, student-centred learning environment.

The successful candidate may qualify for removal expenses as per the collective agreement and a Board-funded recruitment allowance.

The successful applicant will have:

  • A Degree qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience leading collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability and confidence teaching Y7-13.
  • Experience in pre- and post-assessment procedures for NCEA.
  • Experience with planning and delivering integrated learning programmes for Y7-10.
  • A commitment to providing extracurricular opportunities for ākonga.
  • Sound organisational skills and a detail-oriented approach.
  • Strong communication skills to support ākonga, whānau, and Kaimahi.
