John Forrest Secondary College (SC) is seeking an innovative and effective leader with outstanding interpersonal skills to fill the role of Head of Learning Area – English.

As Head of the Learning Area – English, you would work collaboratively with members of the Executive and Leadership Team to provide College wide leadership developing and realising the college's vision and strategic directions.

The successful applicant will ideallyhave experience building collaborative teams and leading curriculum development, while modelling and promoting a culture of self-reflection and growth. Working effectively with their team, they would implement whole school policies, processes, and procedures, embedding a culture of professional leadership, trust, and ongoing improvement for all students and staff.They should have a commitment to improving results for all students, in a planned and strategic manner.

Key to this role is the ability to lead improvement and change initiatives, underpinned byan excellent understanding of data analysis and skills in evidence-based planning, to lead staff and students to achieve outstanding outcomes.
