Following the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, with planning approval and government support. The project has begun construction and is seeking private investment. When completed, it will supply reliable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, aiding Britain in achieving Net Zero by 2050. We offer flexible working, with a hybrid approach and full IT support for remote work. We have a fantastic opportunity for the Head of IT Operations.

The Role

We seek a strategic and hands-on Head of IT Operations to lead planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of IT services supporting the Sizewell C project. You will oversee IT infrastructure, service management, security, and support, ensuring a reliable, secure, and scalable technology environment to meet complex project demands.

The Skills

• Proven experience leading IT operations in complex, high-stakes environments (preferably in infrastructure, energy, or construction sectors).
• Hands-on expertise with network infrastructure, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate high-performing teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across organizational levels.
• Relevant IT qualifications (e.g., ITIL, CISSP, PMP) and a degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience in regulated or safety-critical environments is advantageous.
