Job description

Head of IT

£60,000 - £90,000 package. Portsmouth/office-based role.

This is a multi-faceted role where you will work collaboratively to support the business growth through solving day-to-day problems blended with external projects and medium-long-term strategy. Responsibilities(not exhaustive)

• Owning the Groups’ infrastructure architecture.
• IT security.
• Server management (inc data and storage).
• Project lead on CRM rebuild. Part of this role is to learn the code/system throughout the rebuild so that we retain that knowledge in-house.
• Helpdesk (hands-on).
• Website and app management. Including an impending brand refresh project.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and support system enhancements.
• Systems integration.
• Supplier management.
• Strategy. Optimizing service, costs etc.
• Plan and prioritise in line with Group strategy and stakeholder requirements.
• IT project management.

• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the CRM and across the group.
• Reviewing business requirements to understand the business needs.

The successful candidate with have demonstrable experience to meet the above requirements and will come from a Developer background (with current expertise). To Include:

· At least 5 years of commercial experience using PHP (OOP).

· Strong understanding of microservice architecture and design patterns.

· Solid knowledge of Laravel (or other PHP frameworks).

· Working knowledge of Continuous integration and continuous delivery/deployment (CI/CD).
